Current project list
Did you know your local pregnancy center may be facing a diaper shortage? Joy FM is sponsoring a Diaper Drive asking area churches to collect diapers during the month of May. Pinedale will have a bin available in the foyer beginning Sunday, May 7th to collect your donations of disposable diapers. Volunteers are also needed to work the collection point on Saturday, May 20th at the Walmart location across from Pinedale. Sign-up here to work.
Volunteers need to be high school age and older. Sign up here to work.
Pinedale will be collecting 12" Teddy Bears for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department again this year. All of the bears collected are for their annual "Care Bear Give Away" to benefit Special Needs children. The bears will be given away at the Dixie Classic Fair this coming Fall. If you would like to donate bears towards this cause, you may drop them off in the designated box in the Church Office.
Make goodie bags and take to local fire stations and 911 communications offices. No age limit. Groups will meet Sunday afternoon to pack the appreciation bags and will deliver a portion of them to various locations when packing is complete. Monday's group will meet at Pinedale at 6:45 pm and travel to Griffith Volunteer Fire Department to spend some time there. Should return to Pinedale no later than 8:00 pm. Sign-up here to work.
The team will leave Pinedale after work on Thursday, June 29th to work on campus all day Friday and again on Saturday morning before returning to Pinedale Saturday afternoon. The team will stay in dorms on Thursday and Friday, have breakfast and lunch on campus and go out for evening meals. Some of the projects will include painting doors, power washing, window cleaning, painting columns, various housekeeping details, etc. Participants will need to pay $20 for meals at the dorms and bring money to eat while traveling and for evening meals. There will be a brief informational meeting on Sunday, June 4th, immediately following second service in Room 200. Sign-up here to work.
